Comenius 2008 - 2010

Comenius 2008 –  2010

The Enschede primary schools: the Regenboog, Alfonsus, Liduina and Paus Joannes have been able to start a  new project as part of the Comeniusproject.
This project is called ‘Local Environment’and Regional History’. Besides schools in Enschede also schools in Germany, England and Ireland participate in this project.
The coordinators, teachers and pupils of these schools will work on this project during two years, in which in all participating countries attention will be paid to the following subjects: history, art, music and dance. The subjects are exchanged via website, e-mail, cd end by exchanging teachers and pupils. The Dutch schools will be the first to show their own ‘Twentse’ history. They recently opened museum ‘de Twentse Welle’will be able to show a lot of information on this.
The project ‘Local Environment’ and ‘Regional History’will be made possible with money of the European Platform. Internationalisation means enlarging your world and improving the quality of education. International experiences give new inspiration to teachers and more motivation to their jobs.
The first contact was on the eight and ninth of October 2008. The English, Irish and German partners  were received in the Netherlands. During their visit agreements have been made about the moments on which an exchange between teachers will take place.
So a visit will be paid to a school in Germany in November, to England in the beginning of February and to Ireland in the middle of May.
